Why You Should Have A Home Inspection
According to the
National Association of REALTORS®
home inspections avert future headaches.
The
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development states “home inspections are not
appraisals and for your protection you should get a
home inspection.”
Buying a home will be the largest investment most
of us will ever make. A good home inspection report
will list the current condition and significant
deficiencies, using normal operating controls that
are readily available of all the components of the
home.
- Roofing and roof drainage systems
- Siding
- Interior elements
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Heating/air conditioning (weather
permitting)
- All structural elements
Most inspection reports will also contain
preventive maintenance information.
You are encouraged to be at the home inspection
so you can see firsthand and discuss any issues
discovered by the home inspector.
